Dr. Bazzell is the superintendent for Pike County Schools. Before becoming a superintendent, Dr. Bazzell was a Biology Teacher, Principal, and Assistant-Superintendent. Dr. Bazzell graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science degree and two different Master's degrees - a Master of Science Education and a Master of Educational Leadership; and from Auburn University with a Doctorate of Education.
