The Pike County Board of Education provides 750,000 square feet of heated and cooled space for the students, faculty and administration of the Pike County School System located at Brundidge, Banks and Goshen, Alabama.  This space is maintained by the Maintenance Department, and includes classrooms, 6 lunchrooms, 6 kitchens, football stadiums at Pike County High and Goshen High, 8 miles of hallways, 90 restrooms, schools operations and technology offices and work areas, and various types of air conditioning and heating systems.  Within this vast amount of space we have two new classroom buildings and new administrative offices at Pike County High at a cost of over 3 million dollars, and a new classroom building at Goshen Elementary School at a cost of $900,000.

The maintenance goal is to support the goals and objectives of the board while staying within budget.  It is important to the maintenance department to effectively use tax payer dollars supporting the students of the Pike County School System.
